Subject:- Board s powers - Whether contribution to National Defence Fund taken into consideration for calculating limit Whether a contribution made by the board of directors of a company to the National Defence Fund should be taken into account in calculating the limit up to which the board can contribute under clause (e) of section 293(1) has been considered and the Department is in agreement with the view that such contribution need not be included in determining the limit prescribed in clause (e).
