Whether minutes can be pasted in minutes book - Companies Law - No. 10(41)/70,Extract Letter : No. 10(41)/70, dated 27 ‑ 5 ‑ 1971. Subject:- Whether minutes can be pasted in minutes book The question for consideration is whether the minutes of the general and board meetings can be (i) type‑written and then pasted in bound minutes book or loose-leaves, and (ii) entered by chemical process, have been duly considered in the Department. The Department s views in the matter are that (i) section 193(1B) is against the pasting of the minutes in the minutes book : minutes of the general and board meetings cannot, therefore, be type‑written and then pasted in bound-minutes book or in loose-leaves, and (ii) entering of minutes in the bound-minutes book by a chemical process which does not amount to attachment to any book by pasting or otherwise is permissible provided on the mechanical impression of the minutes, the original signature of the chairman is given on each page.
