File/1275 ORDER The Government of NCT of Delhi hereby constitutes an "Apex Advisory Committee" headed by Commissioner, Value Added Tax and ten "Zonal Advisory Committees" headed by Joint/Additional Commissioners with immediate effect. These Committees shall consist of members as per Annexure-A B respectively. The Apex Advisory Committee shall give advice to the Government on the matters relating to administration of the VAT Laws, simplification of rules and procedures and to suggest the ways means for effective implementation of Value Added Tax Act. The Apex Advisory Committee will meet once in three months. The Zonal Advisory Committees shall discuss issues related to different trades/dealers of the zone, identify the difficulties, if any, and suggest remedial measures. Committee will also suggest ways to increase tax collection by motivating good dealers and by suggesting appropriate action against defaulters.
