Attempt to avail drawback by fictitious/non-existent companies - Regarding - Customs - 012/03

Circular No. 12/2003-Cus., dated 25-2-2003 F. No. 605/22/2003-DBK Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi Subject: Attempt to avail drawback by fictitious/non-existent companies - Regarding. Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), New Delhi has reported that they have come across cases of export under Duty Drawback Scheme by various fictitious/non-existent companies. Preliminary investigation by Delhi Preventive Customs Commissionerate at CFS, Patparganj has revealed that out of 38 such companies 27 of these companies were found to be fictitious/non-existent. List of these 27 companies is enclosed. Total amount of duty drawback involved in respect of these companies is Rs. 12.52 crores on export of Rs. 104 crores. Further investigations by Delhi Customs Preventive Commissionerate are in progress. 2.
