Registration of Casual Trader DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND TAXES POLICY-III BRANCH BIKRIKAR BHAWAN I.P. ESTATE NEW DELHI CIRCULAR NO. 25 OF 2005-06 No.F.982 Dated: 16.08.2005 The application for Registration of Casual Trader shall be received at the Front Office and after issuing the receipt to the dealer, the application in Form DVAT- 04A and Form 04A (Part-A) shall be sent by the respective Ward. The Ward VATO shall process the case manually for registration. The process as laid down under section 16A read with Rule 5A including the provision contained in section 16A(1)(b) would be followed by VATO of the Ward for granting registration. The Registration Certificate shall be issued by Ward VATO. Since software is not yet ready for granting casual registration, the R.C. will be issued manually in the following format. CL / Ward No. / Five digit number starting from 00001 to be allotted in sequential order / Two digits for month and two digits for year Example : CL / 09 / 00001 / 0805 [for the first R.C. issued by Ward 9 in August, 2005] As and when software is ready, the above practice would be reviewed. All Zonal JCs / DCs are requested to direct all ward functionaries under their control accordingly. This issues with the prior approval of Commissioner Trade Taxes. Sd/- (S.R.
