Amendment in DEPB rates, revalidation of expired DEPBs - DGFT - 50 (RE-01)/ 1997-2002Extract Amendment in DEPB rates, revalidation of expired DEPBs PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 50 (RE-01)/ 1997-2002 Dated 13/11/2001 In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II Section 3, Sub section (ii) vide S.O. No.283(E) dated 31.03.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol 1).(RE-01), 1997-2002. 1) The following amendments shall be made in Appendix 28 A which pertains to the DEPB rate list (i) Product Group - Chemicals (Product Code No 62) (a) The following entries are amended as under with effect from 02.11.2001: S.No Export Product DEPB Rate Value Cap for DEPB entitlement 37 Formulations (a) Injections (b) Syrup/ Oral Suspension (c) Tablets/ Capsules (d) Intravenous infusion of bulk drugs for which no specific DEPB rates have been notified Note: This rate is applicable only for those formulations i.e. injections/ syrups/ oral suspensions/ tablets/ capsules for which no specific DEPB rates have been notified. For the above formulations of two or more bulk drugs, the DEPB rate admissible will be as per Policy Circular No. 20 (RE-00)/2000-2001, dated 31.07.2001 (a)60% of the DEPB rate for the relevant bulk drug except in the case of formulations covered under S.No 37A (b) 60% of the DEPB rate for the relevant bulk drug except in the case of formulations covered under S.No 37A (c) 70% of the DEPB rate for the relevant bulk drug except in the case of formulations covered under S.No 37A (d) 65% of the DEPB rate for the relevant bulk drug except in the case of formulations covered under S.No 37A 40 Formulation of Bulk Drug not covered at S.No 37, 37A, 38 and 39 (a) Injections (b) Syrup/ Oral Suspension (c) Tablets/ Capsules (d) Intravenous infusion (a) 8.00 (b) 8.00 (c) 12.00 (d) 10.00 2) A number of DEPB licences have expired in respect of export of formulations relating to the Product Group - Chemicals and yarn dyed Made ups relating to the Product Group- Textiles, due to differences in interpretation . It has therefore been decided that DEPB relating to S.No 37 and 40 of the Product Group - Chemical (Product Code 62) and S.No 69 and 72 of Product Group - Textiles (Product Code 89) shall be revalidated for a period of 6 months from the date of such endorsement by the licencing authority against submission of a request and TR/ demand draft for Rs 200. However no revalidation shall be granted by the licensing authority in cases where misrepresentation/ fraud has come to the notice of the licensing authority or adjudicating orders have already been passed.
