CORRIGENDUM Sir, Subject: Subsidy granted by the State Government to producers for production of feature films in regional languages- Treatment of I am directed to invite your attention to Board's Circular No. 541, dated 25-7-1989 (F. No. 201/1/89-ITA. II)*, on the above-mentioned subject and to state that the word "not" occurring in the expression "shall not be reduced" in the last sentence of para 4 of the above-mentioned circular is a typographical mistake and may be treated as deleted. The said last sentence as so amended shall read as under: "Conversely the amount received by producers of regional feature films, which has not been charged to tax, shall be reduced from the cost of production of the film for the purpose of rule 9A of the Income-tax Rules, 1962."
