NO.S/V-Valuation Cell-10/2013 DATED: 02.07.2015 STANDING ORDER NO. 30/2015 Subject: Improving data quality to ensure proper assessment of LED TVs and parts thereof-regarding A study on undervaluation of some sensitive commodities was conducted by the Valuation cell at JNCH. One of the commodities studied was LED TVs, Monitors and parts. Further it was noted that several factors influencing the value of LEDs were not being mentioned in the description column of the Bills of Entry. Ex details of model number should be mandatorily be mentioned. Though in most cases the size of the LED TV is being mentioned the model details are invariably missing. The model number would be indicative of the technical specifications. Other features such as warranty, details of accessories etc. would also be required to be mentioned. . Since all these factors considerably influence the price of LED TVs and parts thereof, it is to be ensured that the details mentioned above are mentioned in the description column at the time of filing the B/E itself. If the same are not mentioned at the time of filing it is to be ensured that the same are verified at the time of assessment/examination. 2. The above instructions are brought to the notice of all Officers, concerned staff and field formations for information, guidance and strict compliance. 3.
