No. S/6-36/2004-Admn. Date: 27.04.2016 CORRIGENDUM TO PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 15/2016 DATED 03.03.2016 Sub: Procedure for renewal of Customs Broker Licence - reg. Vide Public Notice No. 15/2016 dated 03.03.2016 regarding renewal of CB licence as per Regulation 9(2) of CBLR 2013, it was informed that the renewal application can be submitted at any time of the year during which the licence is expiring at least 90 days prior to the date of expiry of the licence, so that the same can be processed without any delay. In para 2 of the Public Notice No. 15/2016, certain additional information was sought with regard to the number of documents (Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, etc.) handled by the Customs Broker during the last 3 years, etc. This is to clarify that on re-examination of the matter, it has been decided that only the following documents as specified in CBEC's Circular No. 8/2014-Cus dated 13.06.2014 have to be submitted for seeking renewal of licence. Therefore, the application for renewal shall be accompanied by only the following documents:- (i) Declaration affirming that there is no change in constitution/address of Customs Broker. (ii) Declaration that there are no time expired/inoperative cards in Forms G/H pending submission to the Department. (iii) Declaration that accounts are being maintained as per Regulation 16 of CBLR, 2013. (iv) Declaration that no judicial/quasi-judicial cases are pending against them (if yes, the details and status of each pending case). (v) Declaration that no arrears are payable to the Department. (vi) Self-attested copy of the Customs Broker Licence in Form B. (vii) List of Photo Identity Card holders in Form F/G/H with card number(s) and validity date(s). (viii) Self-attested copy of valid membership certificate of Custom Brokers Association (if registered in the Customs station and recognized by Commissioner of Customs). (ix) Self-attested PAN card copy in the name of Customs Broker (Attested/Notarized), if not given earlier. 2. Immediately after the approval for the renewal of Customs Broker Licence is accorded by the Principal Commissioner of Customs (General), the same shall be intimated to the Customs Broker concerned. This processing for renewal shall normally be completed within 60 working days from the date of receipt of complete application, if otherwise found in order. List of Customs Brokers whose request for renewal has been approved will be uploaded on the website of Mumbai Customs Zone-I and also be displayed on the Notice Board of Customs Broker Section by 10th day of every month. 3. On receipt of the intimation letter from Customs Broker Section, the Customs Broker concerned shall pay the Customs Broker Licence renewal fees of ₹ 5,000/- through TR 6 Challan under Major Head-037 Customs and Minor Head-V fees. The payment receipt (TR 6 Challan copy duly endorsed by the Cash Department) should be submitted to the Customs Broker Section which in turn will make the endorsement of renewal on the Customs Broker Section.
