Cell DATE:12.07.2012 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. : 43/2012 Sub: Installation of Weigh Bridges by all CFSs in their premises and weighment of all Containers handled by them before clearance reg. Kind attention of all the concerned is invited to Public Notice No.114/2011 dated 06.09.2011 issued by the Commissioner of Customs (Export) directing all the CFSs under this Commissionerate to install weighbridges in their premises and to weigh the containers handled by them before clearance from their CFS. In continuation to the above said Public Notice dated 06.09.2011 all the CFSs are hereby directed to mandatorily weigh all the containers in respect of the following goods: a) All kind of scraps b) Metals its products c) Secondhand machinery d) All other goods where valuation/rate of duty is on the basis of weight. e) In case of export, all goods where export incentive is on the basis of weight. f) On Intelligence / Investigation by enforcement agencies.
