Re-print of B/Es after Out of Charge-reg. - Customs - 78/2010

Attention of all Importers/CHAs is invited to the above subject. 2. It has been a procedure that after completion of Examination report once Out of Charge is effected in the system by the concerned AO/Supdt., hard copy of the B/E is generated by the service centre of the CFS. But it is observed that in some cases e.g. where number of items are more in the B/E, print is either not generated or misprint happens. In such situation, present practice is that the CHA/Importer has to run from one CFS to another CFS to meet AC/DC in charge for command of re-print in the system as this command is in DC/ACs menu only and once DC/AC looks after a group of CFS. 3. To overcome this problem, henceforth in cases where hard copy is not generated or misprint happens after out of charge, CHA/Import should approach the concerned Supdt./Appraiser only who has given out of charge for that particular B/E. Concerned Supdt./Appraiser after verifying genuineness of misprint or non-print will inform B/E No., date, Importers name to concerned AC/DC of the Docks on phone, if he is not present in same CFS, re-print command would be given by the AC/DC from the CFSI where he is sitting. A register would be maintained by the AO/Supdt., for this purpose which would be counter signed by the AC/DC on the same day or next working day. 4. All concerned are requested to note and make use of the facility. Difficulties if any, in the implementation of above may be brought to the notice of undersigned.
