Attention of the Exporters, Custom House Agents, and the Trade is invited to the Public Notice no. 07/2008 dated 1507-2008 and 19/2008 dated 13-10-2008 issued by this Custom House on the above cited subject. 2. In the Public Notice No. 19/2008 dated 13.10.2008, it was impressed upon all exporters to reconfirm, by obtaining certificate from the concerned bank, account particulars (of their drawback A/cs) in the Customs System. The purpose of this exercise was to ensure smoothness of electronic interface among the Customs, the Banks and exporter s accounts. 3. There are still exporters who have not yet done the reconfirmation exercise. As a result, the nodal bank SBI, ACC is not able to credit the sanctioned drawback amount in some exporters accounts for very routine reasons like A/c closed or A/c does not exist or wrong IFSC Code or A/c type not found or 16 digit A/c number required , etc. 4. The Custom House requests the active cooperation of such exporters who are yet to do the reconfirmation exercise in making the system work smoothly and ensuring there is no room for non-credit of sanctioned drawback in their accounts.
