File Date:26.12.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 45 /2017 Sub: Empanelment of Chartered Engineers for Valuation of Second Hand Machinery/Goods in the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, Mangaluru- Reg. ******* It is brought to the notice of all the Chartered Engineers based in Mangaluru that the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, Mangaluru, intends to undertake the empanelment of Chartered Engineers for valuation of imported old and used/second hand machinery, engineering goods, computers and their parts and accessories, photocopiers etc. 2. Accordingly, applications are hereby invited from the Chartered Engineers based in Mangaluru for the above purpose. They shall submit their applications in the enclosed proforma on or before 05.01.2018. Copies of the relevant certificates issued by the Institute of Engineers, Institute of Valuers, Income Tax Department, Valuation of Bank property, Registration Certificate of GST and the Certificates of experience may also be enclosed along with the application. 3. The applications shall be submitted to Dr.G.Vamshi Krishna Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, New Custom House, Panambur, Mangaluru, in a sealed cover. On empanelment of Chartered Engineers by this Commissionerate, a Public Notice will be issued specifying the names and addresses of Chartered Engineers and also the agencies notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade in nearby locations, who can be contacted by the Trade for the issuance of Chartered Engineer Certificate, as per the Central Board of Excise Customs Circular No.25/2015-Customs dated 15.10.2015. 4. To assess their performance for continuing them or otherwise on selection, such Chartered Engineers have to submit half yearly Self Appraisal Report, as per the prescribed format which will be communicated in the subsequent Public Notice.
