PUBLIC NOTICE: 33/2018 Sub: ICES Advisory 18/2018 - Abolition of Group 7 and other Exports related developments - reg. ********* Kind attention of Importers/ Exporters/ Customs Brokers and the trading public is brought to processing of Bills of Entries/ Shipping Bills in ICES . As per the instruction from CBIC Board for abolition of Assessment Group 7 for different Scheme/Licence, the same has been discontinued with effect from. 08.05.2018 in ICES. 2. It is informed that hereafter the Bills of Entry filed for Scheme/Licences shall be allotted to Group 1 to 6 as any other bill depending on the classification of the item with highest assessable value. The BEs filed for scheme/ licence shall also follow the First in-First out rule like the regular group bills. It is to mention that the Bills of Entry filed on or before 07.05.2018 and pending assessment shall be available in the erstwhile group for processing. 3. Further, on the side of exports too, moving towards to Digital Customs, it is informed to the trade that E-payment facility has been operationalized for the payment of export duty/cess. The payment can be made through ICEGATE the same way as for Import duties. 4. It is informed that the Bank Account Number validation by PFMS is now mandatory for Drawback payment also. The drawback amount shall not be released for the Exporters whose account number is not accepted by PFMS similar to release of IGST Refunds and RoSL. This is a step towards making Drawback payment completely electronic through PFMS, which is to be implemented in due course.
