Dated: 25.05.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 20/2018 Sub: Temporary Ban on Imports of fruits and vegetables from Kerala by the Kingdom of Bahrain -Reg Attention of all Exporters, Custom Brokers, the Trading public and all other stake holders is invited to the communication received from the Plant Protection and Quarantine Section, Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning, Kingdom of Bahrain on the subject matter. 2. Vide the said communication, it has been intimated that, on account of the current outbreak of Nipah Virus in Kerala, the Kingdom of Bahrain has imposed a temporary ban on the import of fruits and vegetables from Kerala region starting from 23.05.2018. The ban will be in force until further notice. 3. Copy of the mail received from the Plant Protection and Quarantine Section is enclosed for information. 4.
