Pursuant to Board's letter 450/100/2017-Cus.IV dated 10.04.2018, Appraising Group-VII has been discontinued in ICES w.e.f. 08.05.2018. Only the Bills of Entry filed before 08.05.2018 and pending assessment shall be available in the erstwhile group. All the new License/Scheme Bills of Entry shall be allotted to Group 1 to 6 depending on the classification of the item with highest assessable value. These Bills of Entry shall follow first in first out rule like regular Bills of Entry of Groups. All stakeholders are requested to take note of the changes in the ICES 1.5.
