OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS, NEW CUSTOM HOUSE, KANDLA-370 210 S/ZO-IOI/PN /AG/2017-18 Dated: 06/03/2018 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 12/2018 Subject: - General Waiver of penalty for late filing of Bill of Entry due to Holi Festival on 02/03/2018 regarding Attention of all Importers, Exporters, Custom Brokers, Members of the Trade and all other stake holders is invited to levy of Late filing Charges on account of Holi Festival on 02.03.2018. 2. Holiday on account of Holi Festival was not fed in the Customs System due to which the late filing charges were levied in cases wherein the material/ goods had landed on 01.03.2018; however, the Bills of entry were filed on 03.03.2018. 3 . As a measure of trade facilitation, it has been decided that for the consignments where IGM was filed on 01.03.2018 and Bills of Entry were filed on 03.03.3018, there will be no charge on late presentation / filing of Bill of Entry. 4. All the Trade Associations, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Customs Brokers Association are requested to publicize the contents of the Public Notice among their members / constituents for information.
