Attention of all Importers, Exporters, Custom Brokers, Members of the Trade and all other concerned is invited to Public Notice No. 03/2018 dated 30.01.2018 and Public Notice No. 10/2018 dated 27.02.2018 issued by Custom House Kandla, wherein a facility to upload digitally signed supporting documents concerning bills of entry, was introduced at Custom House Kandla on a pilot basis through e SANCHIT. All the Importers, Exporters, Custom Brokers were also encouraged to use this facility on voluntary basis and gain experience for their clearances. 2. It has now been decided to mandatory implement e - SANCHIT from 01.04.2018 for imports under all Groups. It is further decided that no physical documents will be accepted from 1st April, 2018. All stakeholders are informed that system would simply disallow the filing of a bill of entry unless it is filed with the IRN Nos evidencing that supporting documents have been first uploaded using e - SANCHIT. 3. Further, some types of supporting documents are required to be presented in hardcopy on any query raised by the assessment Group. It may, however, be noted that henceforth all supporting documents shall be uploaded digitally. Other contents of the said Public Notice No. 03/2018 dated 30.01.2018 remain unchanged. 4. All the Trade Associations, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Customs Brokers Association are requested to publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members / constituents, for information.
