Admn-26/2010 - ACC Date: 31.10.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE -87/2018 Sub: Extension of Custodianship of Perishable Cargo Terminal of M/S. Mumba International Airport Pvt. Ltd. M/S. Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd.; Chhatrapati shivaji International Airport Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Andheri, Mumbai-400099 was approved as a Custodian (Customs Cargo Service Provider) of Perishable Cargo Terminal, Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Andheri Mumbai vide Notification No. 02/2011 dated 05.05.2011 for safe custody of Perishable Export Cargo for the purpose of Export in accordance with the provisions laid down under the Customs Act, 1962, and Rules and Regulations made there under. 2. M/S. Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd.; has executed a Bond of ₹ 101.8 Crores towards the safe custody of Perishable Cargo for the purpose of Export at Perishable Cargo Terminal, ACC, Mumbai. M/S. Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. has submitted a Bank Guarantee towards security against the Perishable Export cargo to be stored at Perishable Export Terminal to the tune of ₹ 10.18 Crores (Rupees Ten Crore Eighteen Lakhs only) executed by Axis Bank on behalf of M/S. Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. which is valid till 22.08.2023. 3. M/S Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. has informed that through global tender process M/S Cargo Service Center India Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded the new concession to build, operate and manage the Perishable Export Cargo Handling Terminal at Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai. As per the new concession a wholly owned special purpose Company Mumbai Cargo Service Center Cold Chain Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is being formed to perform the said concession and operate the Perishable Cargo Terminal at CSI Airport. 4. Therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 45(1 and 141(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, l, Nikhil Chandra, Commissioner of Customs (General), Air Cargo Complex Mumbai hereby extend the Custodianship of Perishable Cargo Terminal of M/S. Mumba International Airport Pvt. Ltd., to be operated by Mumbai Cargo Service Center Cold Chain Solutions Pvt. Ltd. , for the purpose of safe custody of Perishable Cargo to be stored at Perishable Export Terminal, Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai till validity of Bank Guarantee. 5. Export of Perishable Cargo at Perishable Cargo Terminal of M/S. MIAPL shall be permitted as per this Public Notice and will be governed by :- (a) The provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962. (b) Handling of cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 (as amended), (c) All Other provisions, terms and conditions stipulated in Notification No. 02/11 dated 05.05.2011 remain the same. (d) Any other Rules, Regulations, Notifications, Instructions, Circulars Public Notices issued from time to time. 6. Duration of Custodianship shall remain valid till 31.10.2020 i.e for the period of two years and subject to the satisfaction Of the Commissioner of Customs (General), Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai. The Commissioner Of Customs, Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai shall have right to terminate the appointment at any time after assigning specific reasons for the custodian to explain his case.
