No. S-49/10/2018 EDI Date: 22.03.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 09/2018 Sub: Mandatory implementation of eSANCHIT from 1st April, 2018 reg. ***** Kind attention of all the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers and other members of the Trade and Industry is invited to Public Notice No. 07/2018 dated 01.03.2018, communicating the Board s decision to implement eSANCHIT at all EDI locations. All concerned were also requested to develop the capability to use eSANCHIT, as envisaged in Circular No. 40/2017 - Customs dated 13.10.2017. 2. Now, the Board has decided that, eSANCHIT will be implemented across the country from 1st April, 2018 and no physical documents will be accepted. Accordingly, from 1st April, 2018, the system would simply disallow the filing of a Bill of Entry unless it is filed with IRN Nos. evidencing that supporting documents have been uploaded using eSANCHIT. 3.
