Exports - Provision of hanger facility for exporters of leather and silk garments F. No. 481/16/94-LC Dated 23-9-1994 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Exports - Provision of hanger facility for exporters of leather and silk garments. It is notified for the information of General Public, CHA's/Ex-porters/ Airlines/Airtaxi Operators/Customs staff and other concerned authorities that the Govt. had decided to allow hanger facility for export of leather and silk garments in containers of the Airlines to be stuffed at the premises of the exporters to facilitate exports. 2. For this purpose, the following procedure shall be followed :- The exporter of leather and silk garments, desirous of availing the above facility in containers of the airline should apply in writing to the Assistant Collector of Customs (Export), Air Cargo Unit, New Delhi with a copy to the concerned airline. The airline, after such permission from the Assistant Collector of Customs (Export) is obtained, shall forward their containers to the premises of the exporters where the containers would be fitted with hangers. Thereafter, the export goods shall be placed on the hangers. The containers would then be returned to the Air Cargo Complex for export. The Customs examination and other formalities will take place as usual. 3. The movements of the containers shall be in terms of the Notification No. 104/94-Cus., dated 16-3-1994, wherein durable containers are permitted duty free import for a temporary period; and would be closely monitored.
