Amendments made to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 - Customs - TRADE FACILITY NO. 13/2017

Dated: 06.10.2017 TRADE FACILITY NO. 13/2017 Subject: Amendments made to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 -Reg. Kind attention of exporters, importers, Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents and all other stakeholders is drawn to the Gazette Notification dated 21.06.2017 issued in respect of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India)(Fifth Amendment) Order, 2017 (copy enclosed) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on the subject matter 2. The Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India)(Fifth Amendment) Order, 2017 has made amendments in the Clause 9(1 3) of Chapter II of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 in respect of Plant Quarantine clearance of Imported Timber and Wood/bamboo products. 3. Further, Schedule VI of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 which corresponds to the List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions has also been amended. 4.
