Kind attention of the Importers/Customs broker is drawn to the Notification No. 83/2012-Customs (N.T.) dated 17.09.2012 wherein the making e-Payment of Customs duty has been made mandatory for importers registered under Accrediited Clients Programme and importers paying customs duty one lakh rupees or more per Bill of Entry. 2. In this regard, it is informed that vide Notification 080/2017 - Customs (NT) dated 17.08.2017 following classes of Importers have been specified who shall pay Customs duty eletronically, namely:- (i) Importers registered under Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Programme; and (ii) Importers paying Customs duty of ten thousand rupees or more per Bill of Entry. 3. The said Notification dated '17.08.2017 has come into effect w.e.f. 01.09.2017. 4.
