Export of Meat and Meat Products - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 25/2017-Export Examination

Misc/20 /2017-EXP-AlR Date: 14.11.2017 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 25/2017-Export Examination Sub : Export of Meat and Meat Products - reg. The following procedure and conditions for export of Meat and Meat Products as per APEDA's letter F.N0.Ref.MPD/Meat/2017/02792 dated 24 th October, 2017 are brought to the notice of the Exporters/CHAs/CBs and other stake holders of Exports : 1. Under the current Foreign Trade Policy ,the export of boneless buffalo meat(ITC HS Code 0202)and offals of buffaloes(ITC HS Code 0206)are allowed subject to fulfilment of the conditions stipulated under the policy which also includes that meat and meat products for exports should mandatorily be sourced from APEDA registered meat processing plants. The procedures for plant registration and fist of registered plants are available on APEDA website ie., www.apeda.gov.in under the icon quality . 2. Further in order to ensure that each registered plant exports only the authorized quantity of meat and meat products, APEDA has introduced Meat.Net since April 2015 which is an internet based electronic service for issue of on-line Health Certificate by the designated State Veterinary Officer for each export consignment. The health certificate bears a QR Code which provides details of the processing plant. The system of on-line issuance of Health Certificate by the designated Veterinary Authorities was made mandatory w.e.f 1 st April, 2017. 3. Hence, alt the Exporters/CHAs/CBs and other stake holders of Exports are requested to follow the above cited procedure for export of Meat and Meat Products including Boneless Buffalo Meat (ITC HS Code0202) and Offals of Buffaloes (ITC HS Code0202) and to produce on- line issued Health Certificate by the designated veterinary authorities bearing QR Code and no Health Certificate issued manually shall be accepted.
