Attention of all the stake holders, Importers, Customs Brokers, CFS, and Port Terminals under the jurisdiction of Chennai Customs House is invited toward the Circular No. 22/2017 dated 01.11.2017 wherein DPD facility was extended to Non-AEO clients on the strength of LOP with condition to Obtain AEO status within a year. 2. The same has been reviewed and it is decided that the Direct Port Delivery (DPD) facility shall be extended only to importer with a valid Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate. 3. The shipping lines will manifest the IGM as DPDDPD or DPD CFS only for AEO status holders on verification of AEO certificate submitted by Importer along with advance intimation of 72 hours before arrival of the vessel. is also mentioned that facility of DPDCFS will be extended only to AEO Certificate holders and the IGM has to be manifested only to the CFS attached to respective Port. 4. In this regard, all Shipping Lines are instructed to manifest DPD only in case where the AEO importers volunteer to avail DPD facility and provides advance to Shipping Lines 72 hours in advance as per procedure given in Circular.
