Refund of IGST on Export-Extension of date in SB005 alternate mechanism cases & clarifications in other cases - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 15/2018

Attention of all exporters, CHAS, Shipping Lines and members of Trade is drawn to Circular No. 08/2018-Customs dated 23.03.2018 issued by the Central Board of Excise Customs regarding further facilitations provided for speedy processing of IGST refund claims filed by exporters. 2. For speedy resolution of error code SB006, it has been decided by the Board that in lieu of Transference copy of shipping bill, the final bill of lading issued by the Shipping Lines or written confirmation from the Custodian of the Gateway Port, shall be treated as valid document for the purpose of integration with EGM. 3. For the resolution of the cases where the exporters have mentioned the status of IGST payment as NA by mistake instead of mentioning P in the shipping bill despite the fact that they have paid the IGST, it has been decided by the Board as one time exception, to allow refund of IGST through officer interface wherein officer can verify and satisfy himself of the actual payment of IGST. 4. Keeping in view the difficulties likely to be faced by the exporters in case of error SB005, it has been decided by the Board to extend the facility of rectification of this error through officer interface, to the shipping bills filed till 28.02.2018.
