Customs Procedure for ICTT, Vallarpadam, Cochin Port - Customs - TRADE FACILITY No. 05/2011

Part III Date: 17.02.2011 TRADE FACILITY No. 05/2011 Sub : Customs Procedure for ICTT, Vallarpadam, Cochin Port- Reg. Keeping in view the difficulties faced by the trade, department and the general public, it has been decided to partially modify Para 9(ii) of the Trade Facility 4/2011 governing the movement of export containers to ICTT. Henceforth, all the containers sealed by Authorised Officers (Customs Central Excise Officers) shall be moved directly to ICTT. The Custom House Agent shall present the checklist of the Shipping Bill containing the examination Report to the Inspector (Preventive Officer) posted at the ICTT Vallarpadam. The Inspector (Preventive Officer) shall verify the containers with respect to the examination report and also whether the seals are intact. He shall endorse the seal intact on the hard copy of the checklist. The Officer shall maintain, separate Register showing the details of the Shipping Bills and the containers permitted to be entered in this manner. The Custom House Agents shall present the checklist along with the seal intact endorsement to the designated Appraiser/Superintendent for Let Export Order at Ernakulam Wharf. The designated Appraiser/Superintendent shall give Let Export Order subject to the compliance of all other requirements as prescribed by the Customs Act and CBEC circulars and the instructions issued by the Custom House in this regard. Custom House Agent shall present the Shipping Bill generated before the Customs Preventive Officer posted in ICTT gate for permitting Allow Loading . The Preventive Officer shall permit Allow Loading of the containers mentioned in the Shipping Bills on the above basis and shall mark the same in the register. All other procedures such as amendment, short shipment, discrepancy and other procedures prescribed in the Trade Facility No. 4/2011 shall continue to be applicable. In case of self stuffed containerized cargo, procedure mentioned in Trade Facility 4/2011 dated 10-02-2011 shall continue. This procedure will continue till a permanent facility for granting Let Export Order and generating Shipping Bills is provided at ICTT, Vallarpadam. Sd/- (V. RAMA MATHEW) COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS
