Sub: Migration of EDI operations at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, NhavaSheva , Dist. Raigad, from ICES V 1.0 to ICES V 1.5 w.e.f. 05.04.2011 (Referred / amended vide P.N.No. 64/2011, 79/2011,67/2011, 88/2011, 93/2011, 112/2011, 133/2011, 145/2011, 10/2012, 19/2012,32/2012, 38/2012) Attention of all the Stake Holders i.e Importers / CHAs / Carrier Agents (including Shipping Agents ,Steamer Agents / Console Agents etc.) and all other agencies concerned is invited to the fact that EDI operations at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva , Dist. Raigad, have been migrated from ICES V 1.0 to ICES V 1.5 w.e.f. 05.04.2011. It has been brought to the notice that due to manual filing of SMTPs, CONCOR is facing delays in moving containers from Port terminals to ICDs/CFSs. In this regard, CONCOR has requested for a further relaxation in the present procedure regarding the movement of containers from the Port terminals to the ICDs/CFSs. As a trade facilitation measure and in order to ease the congestion at the Port terminals, the request of the CONCOR has been examined and considered. CONCOR is hereby permitted to move the containers to the ICDs/CFSs subject to following the procedure given below: 1. CONCOR will move the containers as per the destination details mentioned in the IGM. CONCOR will, in respect of movement by rail, submit a train summary giving inter-alia the following details:- Container Number : Shipping Line : Size of Container : Destination : Train No. : Wagon No. : Seal Number : SMTP No. : (Blank at the time of movement to be filled given at the time of submission of proof of safe transportation) SMTP Date : do. 2. Similar details will be furnished by CONCOR in respect of containers movement by road as well. 3. CONCOR will undertake to ensure safe transportation of such containers by rail/road and provide proof of safe transportation and landing certificate duly signed by the proper Officer of Customs in respect of such containers within the stipulated period to the proper Officer at JNCH. 4. Failure to produce such proof of safe transportation and landing certificate will result in the cancellation of the facility being extended to CONCOR, apart from action as prescribed under the law. 5. A copy of SMTP passed by JNCH at the port of entry will be provided to the Custodian/CONCOR at the port of destination by the shipping agent for the delivery of the cargo. 6. Details of containers containing metallic scrap will be forwarded by JNCH to the port terminals. Containers will be allowed to be moved only to such ICDs where clearance of scrap is are permitted, as per the provisions prevailing from time to time. 7.
