Attention to the importer, CHAs the trade is invited to the Public Notice No. 33/2007 dated 31.07.2007, Facility Notice No.30/2008 31/2008 dated 20.03.2008 and 25.03.2008 minutes of meeting with importers dated 13.05.2008 respectively regarding facility of payment of Customs Duty through net banking at JNCH through Bank of India and State Bank of India. 2. The facility of e-payment has been made mandatory for top 50 importers. 3. Effective from 01.07.2008, no importer amongst top 50 importers will be allowed to pay customs duty physically through Banks and all payments are to made electronically. 4. Any exemptions in this regard will be considered by Commissioner of Custom (Import) on case to case basis on receipt of written request for the same. 5. Importer are requested to complete all formalities and start e-payment before 01.07.2008 to avoid inconvenience and delay in cleareance. 6.
