No. 261/12/39/92-CX.8] Government of India Central Board of Excise Customs New Delhi Subject : Delegation of powers under Rule 47(5) to grant permission for storage of non-duty paid goods outside the factory premises - Withdrawal of Circular No. 10/92-CX.8, dated 29-4-1992 . Reference to Board's Circular No. 10/92-CX.8, dated 29-4-1992, on the above subject, wherein it was stated that the non-duty-paid sugar permitted by the collector of Central Excise to be stored in the outside godowns will have to be cleared only against levy quota. On representation from the trade, it has been decided by the Board to withdraw this restriction and henceforth both levy and free-sale sugar will be permitted to be stored/cleared from the outside godowns subject to usual safeguards and conditions laid in this regard.
