No. -CC (I)/Misc-163/2019-20 Dated: 21/02/2020 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 13/2020 Sub; - Facility of 24/7 Cust01ns clearance at New Custom House, Mumbai Zone - l. -reg. kind attention is invited to Instruction No. 02/2020-Cus dated 20.02.2020 regarding providing facility of 24/7 Customs Clearance at designated sea ports. It has been decided to ensure disruption in supply and to handle the strong likelihood of surge in import form and export to China. in light of the outbreak of Corona Virus. the New Custom House. Zone I shall introduce 24/7 assessment and clearance of Bills of Entry / Shipping bills not Facilitated RMS for assessment. Following procedure is being prescribed tor implementing the 24/7 clearance: 1) Importers/exporters/Custom Broker dealing in supply from/to China. filing or Shipping bill after Office hours can request for Priority assessment on email address [email protected] following the given format. Sr. No. Name of Importer/Exporter/CB B/E No and Date Country of Origin /Country of Export Timing Of Filing B/E or SIB 2) The designated officer on duty shall prepare a list of all such Bill of Entry/Shipping bill to be assessed on priority basis and transfer the same online for assessment to the concerned designated Appraiser. 3) The designated DC/AC/Appraiser shall do the assessment only those Bills of Entry/ Shipping bills for which such request has been made and supply is related to China. The assessment shall be done as per the provisions of Customs ACI other Allied Acts. 4) This will come into effect from 21 /02/2020 and applies to Import I, Import- II, Export ICD Mulund Commissionerates of Mumbai Customs Zone - I 5) Difficulties Faced ill this regards, if any. may be brought to the Notice.
