Attention of the importers, Custom Brokers. members of the trade and all other stake holders is invited to Public Notice No. 24/ 2020 dated 09.04.2020 issued by this office on the captioned subject. Vide the said Public Notice. relaxation from submission of Original Country of Origin Certificates has been allowed subject to compliance of certain conditions specified therein. 2. Now, in view of the extension of lockdown till 03.05.2020. Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 has been amended vide Public Notice No. dated 22.04.2020. 3. Accordingly, para (4.2) and para (5) of the said Public Notice No. 24/2020 dated 09.04.2020 are being amended as under: Existing para 4.2: For the purpose of provisional assessment. The importer shall submit Bond or Undertaking (in lieu of Bond) in case of eligible categories as mentioned in Board Circular No. 17/2020dated 03.04.2020 read with Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 issued by this Commissionerate. As for as security is concerned--------------------------------- Amended para 4.2: For the purpose of provisional assessment. the importer shall submit Bond or Undertaking (in lieu of Bond) in case of eligible categories as mentioned in Board Circular No. 17/2020 Dated 03.04.2020 read With Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020. as amended by Public Notice No. 29/2020 dated 22.04.2020. issued by this Commissionerate As .for as security is concerned------------------------------- Existing para 5: The importers availing this facility of provisional assessment shall ensure that the Undertaking furnished in lieu of Bond as per Circular No. 17/2020- Cus dated 3.04.2020 read With Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 of this Commissionerate is duly replaced with a proper Bond on or before the dene specified therein which is presently mentioned as 07.05.2020 Bond Section - Amended para 5: The importers availing this facility o/ provisional assessment shall ensure that the Undertaking furnished in lieu Bond as per Circular No. 17/2020- Cus dated 03.04.2020 read with Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 us amended hr Public Notice No. 29/2020 dated 22.04.2020 of this Commissionerate is duly replaced with a proper Bond on or before the date specified 'herein which is presently mentioned as 30.05.2020. Bond Section shall ------------------------------------------------- 4. Other contents of Public Notice No. 24/2020 dated 09.04.2020 remain unchanged. Public Notice No. 24/2020 dated 09.04.2020 stands amended to this extent. 5. All trade associations/members of Customs Brokers Association are requested to take note and publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents. 6. For the departmental officers, this may be treated as Standing Order. 7. Difficulties, if any, may be brought to the notice of Additional Commissioner of Customs (Technical), ACC Import, New Customs I louse, New Delhi.
