Attention of the importers, Custodians. Custom Brokers, Bonded Warehouse licensees, members of the trade and all other stake holders is invited to Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 on the subject matter Measures to facilitate trade during the lockdown period - Section 143AA of the Customs Act, 1962 and Public Notice No. 25/2020 dated 09.04.2020 issued by this office on the captioned subject. 2. Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 has been modified vide Public Notice No. 25/2020 dated 09.04.2020 to the extent of incorporation of detailed relaxed procedure for In-Bonding of goods imported under Warehouse Bill of Entry due to COVID-19 pandemic. 3. Now, Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 has been amended vide Public Notice No. 29/2020 dated 22.04.2020 by extending relaxation of acceptance of undertaking in lieu of Bond till due to extension of lockdown till 03.05.2020. 4. Accordingly para 3 (a) and para 4 of the Public Notice No. 25/2020 dated 09.04.2020 are amended as under:- Existing para 3 (a): The Importer/ Authorized Custom Broker should submit the request letter/ Undertaking signed by the IEC holder on the business letterhead as prescribed under Public Nonce No. 22/020 dated 03 04.2020 from their registered email-id on email of AC (Bond) i.e [email protected]. AC (Bond) would either dispose off the request himself if he is on duty or forward such request to the official email-id of ACVDC on duty, according to roster, if he is not on duty Amended para: The Importer/ Authorized Custom Broker should submit the request letter/ Undertaking Signed by the IEC holder on the business letterhead as prescribed under Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 as amended b, Public Notice No. 29/2020 dated 22.04.2020 from their registered email-id on email of AC (Bond) i.e. [email protected]. AC (Bond) would either dispose off the request himself if the is on duty or forward such request to the official email-id of AC/DC on duty, according to roster, if he is not on duty. Existing para 4: Importers availing this facility shall ensure that the undertaking furnished in lieu of Bond is du/v replaced With a proper bond before the date specified in Public Nonce No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020 issued by this Commissionerate which is presently mentioned as 07.05.2020, Bond Section shall maintain a record shall such cases of relaxation from taking Bond. Amended para: Importers availing this facility shall ensure that the undertaking furnished in lieu of Bond is duty replaced with a proper bond before the date specified in Public Notice No. 22/2020 dated 03.04.2020. as amended by Public Notice No. 29.04.2020 dated 22.04.2020, which is presently mentioned as 30.05.2020. Bond Section shall maintain a record of all such cases of relaxation from taking Bond. 5. Other contents of Public Notice No. 25/2020 dated 09.04.2020 remain unchanged. Public Notice No. 25/2020 dated 09.04.2020 stands amended to this extent. 6, All trade associations/members of Customs Brokers Association are requested to take note and publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents. 7. For the departmental officers, this may be treated as Standing Order. 8. Difficulties, if any, may be brought to the notice of Additional Commissioner of Customs (Technical), ACC Import, New Customs House, New Delhi.
