No. VIII/Cus/Tech/TN/48-123/19-20/ Pt.I Date: 29.07.2020 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 38/2020 Subject: Crowd sourcing of suggestions for review of existing Customs duty exemption notifications/Customs laws and procedures-reg. Attention of all Importers/Exporters, Customs Broker, Shipping Lines/Agents, Custodians, Members of Trade and Industry coming under the jurisdiction of Customs Commissionerate, Pune and all other stakeholders is invited to Instructions dated 21.07.2020 issued by the CBIC, New Delhi on the subject matter. 2. In the Budget 2020-21 Speech of the Hon'ble Finance Minister it was proposed to crowd source suggestions for review of Customs duty exemption notifications. It was also announced that suggestions would be invited in respect of the Customs law and procedures for aligning them with the needs of changing times and ease of doing business. 3. Accordingly, an initiative has been taken to institute a facility at the MyGov Innovate portal (https:/innovate.mygov.in/suggestions-for-review-of-existing-customs/) for all the stakeholders ,/public at large to provide their suggestions online. The last date to submit the suggestions is 21st August. 2020. 4. Difficulties faced, if any, may be brought immediately to the notice of the undersigned. 5. The Public Notice will be construed as Standing Order so far as the Departmental Officers are concerned. All the Officers of this Commissionerate are asked to create awareness about this initiative among the Public and to actively encourage all the stakeholders, including importers, exporters, domestic industry, trade associations and the public at large to offer their suggestions on the MyGov Innovate using the above mentioned online facility.
