Special Drive for Disposal of Pending Application (REG-21) for Revocation of Cancellation - GST - TRADE NOTICE No. 02/2021Extract GOVERNMENT OF INDIA Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner Central GST Zone, Ahmedabad, GST Bhavan, Revenue Marg, Ambawadi, Ahmedabad 380015 File No.GCCO/TECH/MISC/814/2021-TECH-O/o Pr CC-CGST-ZONE-AHMEDABAD Dated: 30/09/2021 TRADE NOTICE No. 02/2021 Subject: Special Drive for Disposal of Pending Application (REG-21) for Revocation of Cancellation 4th to 8th October 2021 Attention is invited to Circular No. 148/04/2021-GST dated 18.05.2021 issued by GST Policy Wing of CBIC wherein SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for implementation of the provision of extension of time limit to apply for revocation of cancellation of registration under section 30 of the CGST Act, 2017 and rule 23 of the CGST Rules, 2017 was circulated for information and compliance. 2. With a view to ensure the genuine taxpayers are facilitated by way of prompt response by Department on receipt of their Application for Revocation of Cancellation of GST Registration, Ahmedabad CGST Zone is organizing a Special Drive for Disposal of Pending Application for Revocation of Cancellation of GST Registration from 4th October 2021 to 8th October 2021. 3. Taking cognizance of the prescribed timelines for processing of Application REG-21, under rule 23 of CGST Rules 2017, all Executive Commissionerates of this Zone during this Special Drive beginning from 4th October 2021 to 8th October 2021 will target all pending REG-21 Applications, filed upto 31st August 2021 . 4. The jurisdictional CGST Authorities of Ahmedabad Zone have been advised to take up all such pending REG-21 Applications for processing the same expeditiously and take such applications to its logical conclusion, based on merits of each case. 5. As part of the Special Drive, Applicants who have applied for Revocation of GST Registration in FORM REG-21 till 31st Aug 2021 and where the matter is still pending with their jurisdictional Division Offices of CGST Commissionerates falling under jurisdiction of CGST Ahmedabad Zone, may approach their jurisdictional CGST Division with their grievance on any of the said five working days between 4th October to 8th October 2021 between 0930 AM to 0600 PM. Their grievances will be examined by the jurisdictional Officer and the Applicant shall be communicated a) the present status of their Application (REG-21), b) details of any deficiency observed in documents/information supplied with REG-21, and c) the specific time line by when the processing of their Revocation Application will be completed. 6.
