BPCL issue of certificates regarding Circular No. 23/90-CX.8 Dated 9-4-1990 [From F.No. 261/27/1/90-CX.8] Government of India Central Board of Excise Customs New Delhi Subject : Central Excise - Credit or MODVAT benefit of CVD paid on steel sheets imported by M/s. HPCL M/s. BPCL issue of certificates regarding. I am directed to refer to Board's Letter No. 261/27/12/89-CX.8, dated 2-11-1989 (Circular No. 49/89-CX.8) under which the certificates issued by M/s. I.O.C. have been accepted as duty paying documents for purposes of availing Modvat credit thereon. Board has decided that certificates issued by M/s. HPCL BPCL. On similar imports of steel on high sea purchase basis may also be accepted as duty paying documents. The receipt of this letter may please be acknowledged.
