Director /Director Generals under CBIC Madam/Sir, Subject: - Amendment to Instruction No 18/2022-Customs dated 12.08.2022, Instruction No 30/2022-Customs dated 14.11.2022 and Instruction No 32/2022-Customs dated 28.11.2022 regarding extension of Requirement of Health Certificate accompanied with the import of food consignments-reg. Reference is drawn to Board's Instruction No 18/2022-Customs dated 12.08.2022 , Instruction No 30/2022-Customs dated 14.11.2022 and Instruction No 32/2022-Customs dated 28.11.2022 relating to the requirement of Health Certificate to be accompanied with the import of certain food consignments, based on a reference from FSSAI order dated 03.08.2022 and its subsequent clarification dated 26.09.2022. 2. In this regard, FSSAI has extended the date of implementation of above FSSAI order dated for the further period of two months and the same will now be effective from 1st March, 2023, vide its order dated 10.01.2023 (copy enclosed). 3. It is requested that the necessary action may be taken to sensitize officers under your jurisdiction. 4. The difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this Instruction may please be brought to the notice of the Board. 5. Hindi version follows. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has issued an order dated 3rd August, 2022 and its subsequent clarification vide order dated 26th September, 2022 regarding the requirement of Health Certificate for import of Milk Milk products, Fish Fish products and Pork Pork Products. Further, FSSAI vide order dated 27th October, 2022 issued order extending the requirement till 1st January, 2023. Since many trade partners are in process of adopting it, the date of implementation of said requirement shall be extended by two months and the order will now be effective from 1st March, 2023.
