No. S6/02/2023-RI I Date: 26.04.2023 DISPOSAL NOTICE Subject : Seizure of Foreign Origin Cigarettes on the road connecting Railway Parcel Office to Convent Junction, Visakhapatnam and at the Railway Station, Visakhapatnam on 10.02.2023-reg. Whereas 3, 89,000 sticks of foreign origin Cigarettes kept in 13 (4+9) big cardboard parcel boxes (3,87,000 sticks of Paris Brand 2,000 sticks of Midland Black Brand) have been seized by the officials of Custom House, Port Area, Visakhapatnam under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962 on a reasonable belief that they are liable for confiscation under the provisions of Section 11 of the Customs Act, 1962 from two Auto Rickshaws waiting on the road connecting Railway Parcel Office to Convent Junction, Visakhapatnam and at the Railway Station, Visakhapatnam on 10.02.2023. The seized goods were booked by Shri B.K. Sahoo at Khurda Road Junction under railway parccl, from Khurda Raod to Visakhapatnam vide RR No. 1006297611 dated 09.02.2023 RR No. 1006297640 dated 10.02.2023 and loaded on Prashatni Express (Train No. 18463) Amrawati Express (Train No. 18407) on 10.02.2023 and Consignee of the said parcels was Shri Uppiri Guruvulu, a resident of Visakhapatnam. Now therefore, Shri B. K. Sahoo, Shri Uppiri Guruvulu or any other individual who claim himself as owner of the seized goods are hereby intimated to submit their reply to the undersigned within 10 days from the date of issue of this notice with all supporting documents. If no reply is received within the above said period, the department will dispose of the said goods as the same are perishable in nature and required to be disposed of immediately as per the provision of Para 2.3.1 under chapter-2 of Disposal Manual, 2019.
