No. VIII/48/03/2020-Cus.Pol Date:-22.12.2023 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 30/2023 Subject : Waiver of penalty for late filing of Bills of Entry Due to Cyclonic Storm and heavy rain - Reg. ************** With regard to representation from Tuticorin Customs Brokers Association dated 21.12.2023 on heavy rain and consequent deluge hitting Tuticorin on 17 th December, 2023 disrupting Electricity and Internet connections since then for next few days affecting filing of Bills of Entry with ICEGATE System seeking late fee waiver. 2. Considering the situation on account of heavy rainfall and the fact that the trade was facing difficulties in filing Bills of Entry on account of severe disruption to electricity supply and lack of network connectivity, it is decided to waive off late fee for the Bills of Entry filed for the vessels for which entry inwards was granted at Tuticorin Seaport from 17.12.2023 to 22.12.2023. 3. This Public Notice shall be considered as a Standing Order for the purpose of officers and staff of the Department. 4. Difficult faced, if any may be brought to the notice of Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Customs House, Tuticorin for necessary action.
