No. GEN/SHED/MISC/18/2024-Docks-Admn Dated : 02-05-2024 DIN : 20240573MZ000000F289 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 20/2024 Sub : Export of Silk Waste (including cocoons unsuitable for reeling, yarn waste and garnetted stock) falling under ITC (HS) code 5003 - Export Clearance on the basis of Inspection Report from the Authorized Officers from CSB/Test Report from the Textile Testing Labs from CSB - Reg. ******* Kind attention of all the Exporters, Customs Brokers, Customs stake holders and trade is invited to the schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export items under Government of India Export Policy, Silkworm cocoons suitable for reeling which falls under the HS Code 5001, is restricted item and the export of which is permitted only under a License. 2 . The Silk Waste (including cocoons unsuitable for reeling, yarn waste and garnetted stock) classifiable under HSN Code 5003 currently free for export. However, henceforth the said consignments shall be cleared for export based on the inspection report/test report issued by the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. In this regard, the Central Silk Board has nominated the following Central Silk Board (CSB) Officer and the Textile Testing Lab (TTLs) functioning under CSB as detailed below: I. All silk waste (including cocoons unsuitable for reeling, yarn waste and garnetted stock) export consignments shall be subjected to 100% examination in the presence of the CSB authorized officer. The CSB authorized Officer will inspect and certify the items in the CFS and will share the report to docks admin section. The LEO will be granted only on the basis of the test report/inspection certificate received from CSB authorized officer directly to Customs (Docks Admin Section), till the time CSB get s registered as a PGA in ICEGATE/ICES for the purpose of sharing their test report through e-Sanchit or single window. 5. Hence, all concerned / Stake Holders are requested to take note of the above during the process of export of Silk Waste consignments. 6.
