I am directed to refer to Point No. I of the Modvat meeting held at Bombay on 22-4-89 regarding admissibility of Money Credit on specially denatured ethyl alcohol under Rule 57K. The matter has been examined by the Board. It has been decided that money credit will be admissible on specially denatured ethyl alcohol used in the manufacture of styrene under Rule 57K read with Notification No. 231/87 dated 1-10-87 as amended.
