Transit Losses of Butadiene received under Chapter X procedure - Condonation of losses - Regarding F. No. 261/11AA/1/85-CX. 8 Dated 27-4-1987 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi Subject : Transit Losses of Butadiene received under Chapter X procedure - Condonation of losses - Regarding Extracts of Paras 1 2 of the Board letter F. No. 261/11AA/1/85-CX. 8, dated 27-4-1987 is communicated herewith for information and guidance. I am directed to say that problems regarding condonation of Transit Losses in case of Butadiene Procured under Chapter X procedure have arisen in some Collectorates. 2. The matter has been examined in consultation with DGICCE and Chief Chemist. It has been decided by the Board that transit losses of Butadiene up to maximum limit of 0.30% may be condoned irrespective of the mode of transportation of the goods. On losses beyond the condonable limit, duty will have to be paid by the Refinery at appropriate rate.
