I am directed to invite your attention to Board's letter F. No. 211/67/87-CX.6, dated 13th January, 1987, regarding instructions relating to spot verification of goods before issue of subsidiary gate passes. 2. This issue has been further examined by the Board. It has been decided that spot verification of the duty paid goods at the time of issuing subsidiary gate pass need not be insisted upon. Superintendents should examine the genuineness of the gate pass and issue the subsidiary gate pass. 3. The above instructions may be brought to the notice of the field formations.
