Maintenance of RG-1 Accounts Circular No. 3/87 Dated 13-1-1987 [From F. No. 204/11/85-CX.6] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Maintenance of RG-1 Accounts In continuation of Board's letter of even number, dated 18th February, 1986, regarding difficulties faced by the manufacturers in updating RG-1 entries and the matter has been examined by the Board. The Board opines that it will not be possible to fix the timings for making entries in RG-1 register in respect of each and every commodity by general instructions. It has been therefore decided by the Board that the individual cases may be dealt with by the Collectors in accordance with the needs of the situation keeping in view the general guidelines prescribed in para 208 of Basic Excise Manual. 2. This disposes of the Meerut Collectorate reference C.No. V (30) 319/T-11/85/22/176, dated 2-9-1986.
