No. 267/88/87-CX.8 Dated 9-10-1987 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : C.E. - Credit of Modvat benefit of counter-vailing duty on imported black and white picture tubes imported by Public Sector Undertaking - Regarding. I am directed to refer to Board's F.No. 267/66/87-CX.8, dated 27th July, 1987 wherein it had been clarified that, in case of imported colour picture tubes canalised through M/s. Electronics Trade and Technology Development Corporation Ltd. (a public sector undertaking), credit under Modvat Scheme can be taken on the strength of the certificate issued by M/s. ET TDC Ltd. as a proof of payemnt of counter-vailing duty. Similar facility should also be extended to imported Black White picture tubes by M/s. ET TDS Ltd.
