Central Excise - Delay in grant of permission under Rule 57F(2) regarding F. No. 263/16/87-CX.8 Dated 2-11-1987 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Central Excise - Delay in grant of permission under Rule 57F(2) regarding. It has been brought to the notice of the Board that inordinate delays are taking place in granting the permission under Rule 57 F(2) to remove the inputs as such or after the inputs have been partially processed to a place outside the factory for the purpose of test, repairs, refining etc. and return thereof for further use in the manufacture of final products. Such delays cause hardship to the trade and also hamper the production of the goods. It has, therefore, been decided by the Board that applications for permission to remove the inputs to a place outside the factory under Rule 57F (2) may be disposed of within a period of 7 days without fail. Any default in observance of these instructions should be viewed seriously by the Collectors. The above instructions may be brought to the notice of field formations and trade interests may also be suitably informed. Hindi version will follow.
