No. 261/11-AA/1/85-CX.8 Dated 27-4-1987 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Transit Losses of Butadiene received under Chapter X Procedure - Condonation of losses - Regarding Problems regarding condonation of Transit Losses in case of Butadiene procured under Chapter X procedure have arisen some Collectorates. 2. The matter has been examined in consultation with DGICCE and Chief Chemist. It has been decided by Board that transit losses of Butadiene upto maximum limit of 0.30% may be condoned irrespective of the mode of transportation of the goods. On losses beyond the condonable limit, duty will have to be paid by the Refinery at appropriate rate.
