No. 334/1/2001 Dated 3-3-2001 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi Subject : Errata for "MEMORANDUM EXPLAINING THE PROVISIONS IN THE FINANCE BILL, 2001". Minor changes may be incorporated as under : Customs : Page No. 20, line 4 : "would lapse on 31st March, 2001" should be read as "would be abolished from 1st March, 2001 ". Excise : Page No. 25, line 8 : "Interest on warehoused goods fixed at a flat rate of 24% in respect of removals on after 15-3-2001" should be read as "Interest on warehoused goods fixed at a flat rate of 24% in respect of removals on after 16-3-2001 " .
