No. 267/52/2008-CX. 8 Dated 7-1-2009 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi Subject : Amendment in Rule 6(6)(i) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004 - Regarding. The undersigned is directed to refer to Notification No. 50/2008-C.E. (N.T.), dated 31st December, 2008. 2. Notification No. 50/2008-C.E. (N.T.), dated 31st December, 2008 amends the Rule 6(6)(i) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004, to include goods cleared to "SEZ developer for their authorized operations" also. The amendment is prospective in nature and would apply to supplies cleared from the date of the notification only and it is applicable only for the "authorized operations" of the developer. 3. The amendments carried out vide the above referred notifications may be brought to the notice of the field formations as well as trade and industry. 4. Receipt of this Instruction may kindly be acknowledged.
