Proforma report in part A and B. - Income Tax - 1205/CBDT

INSTRUCTION NO. 1205/CBDT Dated : September 10, 1978 Kindly refer to Board's Instruction No.1001 (F.No.246/30/76-A PAC-I) dated 24th August 1976 prescribing the proforma in which the report is to be sent on the draft paras proposed by C AG for inclusion in the audit report. The Board appreciate the difficulties of the Commissioners in sending the proforma report in time in the form prescribed now. It is therefore decided that the Board would call for information only on those points which are absolutely essential for deciding the validity of the objection raised in the D.P. In view of this, the proforma report is divided into two parts. Henceforth the proforma report in part A may alone be sent to the Board within 3 weeks of the receipt of the draft para from the Board with a copy to the D.I.(IT A). Thereafter report in proforma B may be sent by the Commissioner to the D.I.(IT A) within two months of the receipt of the draft para from the Board with a copy endorsed to the Board.
